About Kasımpaşa Mevlevihanesi
One of Istanbul's historic Mevlevi lodges, restored and active.
Founded as a Mevlevi lodge in the 17th century, Kasımpaşa Mevlevihanesi served generations of Sufis until the closing of the dervish lodges in 1925. Decades later it has been restored as a living cultural space, hosting the Sema ceremony, traditional music, and Islamic arts.
